Claim for Continuing Medical Education (CME) Points Under Activity Category 2 for authors and reviewers
The Annals, Academy of Medicine, Singapore has been classified by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) as a “general” journal, consisting of papers dealing with different specialties. The SMC will assess claims for CME points for the publication and review of papers from the Annals on an individual basis. The SMC will consider the specialty content of the paper against the doctor’s registered specialty to determine whether core or non-core points will be awarded.
With effect from 1 June 2004, the main authors/chief editors will receive 5 CME points. Subsidiary authors, editors or reviewers will receive 2 CME points. The maximum claim for Category 2 is 40 points over 2 years.
To claim for CME points, please refer to SMC’s website at http://www.smc.gov.sg/html/SMC_Login.html. |
