The Dream of the Warrior

Our life is like incense, so full of substance at the onset but only to disappear into nothingness in a moment. At the appointed time, we can only with an open palm obediently embrace our fate. Even the mighty warrior can only stare helplessly while he awaits his hour. Our hope and answer lies beyond the fabric of our present life, far beyond the deep blue sky. Up where the incense rises is our destiny.

May we, in the Year of the Rooster, renew our hope in God's wonderful promise of everlasting joy and peace for those who heed His call. May all our dreams come true.

This painting was conceived in a dream and completed on canvas in 1997.
